Sian Beilock is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at The University of Chicago. She did her undergraduate work at the University of California, San Diego in Cognitive Science and her graduate work at Michigan State University where she received PhD’s in Kinesiology and Psychology. These dual degrees reflect Dr. Beilock’s interest in examining the attentional demands and memory structures governing novice and expert performance as well as the causes of performance failure in high pressure situations in both sport and academic tasks. Dr. Beilock’s work is supported by research grants from the National Science Foundation and the U.S. Department of Education and has been published in top journals in both Psychology and Kinesiology. In addition, Dr. Beilock received the ISSP (International Society of Sport Psychology) Developing Scholar award in 2005 and was recently recognized by the Chronicle of Higher Education as one of four “rising stars” across all academic disciplines.

Thomas Bliesener ist Professor für Pädagogische Psychologie und Entwicklungspsychologie am Institut für Psychologie der Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel. Seine Forschungsarbeiten und -schwerpunkte umfassen folgende Felder:
- die Entwicklung von abweichendem Sozialverhalten, Aggression, Gewalt und Kriminalität von der frühen Kindheit bis in das Erwachsenenalter (darunter auch Hooliganismus);
- die gesunde Entwicklung von Kindern und Jugendlichen unter widrigen Lebensumständen (so genannte Resilienz);
- Prävention und Intervention von Störungen des Sozialverhaltens in Familie, Kindergarten, Schule sowie Einrichtungen der Jugendpflege und der Resozialisierung;
- die Evaluation pädagogisch-psychologischer Maßnahmen in verschiedenen Kontexten (z.B. Familie, Schule, Erwachsenenbildung, Strafvollzug).
Er ist derzeit u.a. Sprecher der Fachgruppe Rechtspsychologie in der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Psychologie und Mitglied des Executive Committee der European Association of Psychology and Law.

| Prof. Dr. Albert V. Carron: "Team cohesion and its relationship to team success" |

Professor Bert Carron has been an author/co-author of 16 books and monographs, 32 chapters in edited texts, and 125 refereed publications. Professionally, he is a Fellow in the American Academy of Kinesiology and Physical Education, the Association for the Advancement of Applied Sport Psychology, and the Canadian Psychomotor Learning and Sport Psychology Association.
He is a Past President of the Canadian Association for Sport Sciences and a former member of the Board of Directors of the Sports Medicine Council of Canada. In 1998, Carron was a co-recipient of the International Council of Sport Science and Physical Education’s “Sport Science Award of the International Olympic Committee President”. Currently, Carron is a member of the Editorial Board of Journal of Sport and Exercise Psychology, the International Journal of Sport Psychology, and Small Group Research.
